  • Taipei and Paris

    2) What is your opinion of commuters on trains who disregard the rules (no eating/drinking, give up seats for the elderly/ the disabled/ pregnant women etc.) on the train?
  • I felt that they are very inconsiderate for others which i felt that this is a very selfish action. Further more i seriously cannot understand what so difficult about giving up seats for people who need even more than us. Why people just cannot be more considerate for others?

Mum's catching up with me...on Facebook

1) What were the reasons given by Facebook parent , Rashida Husian, when she requests access to the networking sites and also to what her children had put online?

Useful for keeping track of her children and their friends.
To keep in touch with them.
She also leaves them words of encouragement when she feels they need some.
She befriended 10 of her children's friends but only their closest friends and those she has met in person.

2) Do you think it is a good idea to accept requests by your parents to add them readily to your friend's list on the Facebook? Why?

I think it is not a good idea as if concidently your parent does not like any of your friend, your parent will stop you from making friends with them but still to some certain extent, i think that it is good a idea because as if anything happens to you, your parent will know where and how to look for you.

Sorry guys, these lots are not for you

1)What were some of the reasons cited in the article why there was a need to have parking lots for women only in these building.

To help parents, especially those with young children, load and unload bulky prams more easily.
Prevents parents from accidentally scratching neighbouring cars when they unload prams.
Convenient and they only have to walk up the ramp to reach the entrance to the hotel lobby
Less tiring for women especially when they are in heels.
Some women feel safer parking nearer to the entrance .

2a) In your opinion, do you think it is necessary to allocate parking lots for women only? Why?
Yes, but is only to women with children.

It is because those women with children would have difficulties unloading those prams and while unloading the prams if no one taking care of their children it would be very difficult for them to unload the pram and take care of their children. But as for women who are wearing heels or without children. As they do not have troubles with unloading things or taking care of children. Wearing heels is not an excuse, they could have just wore slippers or wear shoes that are comfortable.

b) Which group of people do you then feel should be allocated such priority parking? Explain.

Parents with children below the age of 10 and drivers with elderly. This is easier for the drivers to unload things and taking care of their children. As they can take care of their children instead of letting them running around the carpark. Drivers with elderly should also allocate a priority parking near the lobby. This could enable the elderly to walk a shorter distance and this could unload their tiredness and strength walking to the lobby.

All in a day's work for men in blue

Q1)What are some reasons stated in the article why some members of the public call the police for?

The reasons was because they want to try to be funny to prank call the police, want to ask for contact number of example ambulance and etc but some was really need help like as because they met thief and etc.

Q2a)Do you see the job of a policeman as something easy or tough? Why?

Honestly, I felt that it is tough though I am not a policewoman. I see it tough through my boyfriend, as he is now a policeman serving his ns. There are actually a few reasons. BUT I am just going to say one of the reasons, as I am just too simply lazy to type all the reasons out. =D I felt that the main reasons was because of the irregular working shift timing! The working days pattern goes like this. First day morning shift (early in the morning till late at night), then the second day is night shift (evening till the next day morning), then follow by 2 days off and so on. After hearing this, you might felt that the phrase “ 2 days off “ sounds ‘ shiok ‘ but it is actually not okay. As because when the off comes, you will be like dam tired already, and you will just spend your off on sleeping just like this. And this was actually not good for your health as your sleeping time is so irregular!

Therefore..

b)Would you consider becoming a policeman or policewoman in future? Why yes or why not?

I would never consider of becoming a policewoman when I grow up. =)

ink

Q1)What are some reasons stated in the article why some people choose to have body art like tattoos or piercings done on parts of their boy.

Some reasons were because they want to draw attention to themselves or express themselves or stand out from the crowded.

Q2a)What are some imppressions you would form of a person whose body is covered with tattoo?

People whose body was covered with tattoos would leave me impressions like they are scary? Fierce? People who are not good to be offended and they would just beat anyone without any reasons like nobody business? And they are people who would speak vulgarities, smoke and take drugs. And do illegal stuffs such as selling drugs and etc. In another words it would be formed as gangster.

b)Would you consider getting a tattoo in future? Why?

Obviously is a no, because I am afraid of pain. But IF it is not painful to put a tattoo, then I think I would consider of putting one. Cause I find some certain design or put it on some certain parts is quite nice to me. But still once again, I would not put any tattoo as I am too afraid of pain and also, my boyfriend would not allowed me to do this either. And lastly, cause I know that it would look dam ugly on wrinkle skin.

Sharp rise in girls under 16 having sex

Q1)State any two reasons mentioned in the article which contributes to the sharp rise in girls under 16 having sex.

One of the reasons mentioned was nowadays there are more girls initiate into sex earlier than in the past as they felt that having sex is a fashion fad and it was a cool thing to do it. The other reasons mentioned were nowadays sex had became the new formed of “cigarette” as it had become the stuff of youthful experimentation instead of drugs and cigarette. Therefore these led to sharp rising in girls under 16 having sex.

· What are some consequences which a girl might face for engaging in casual sex?

Girls might face being pregnant or having diseases such as STD(sexual transmitted disease) and aids which would ruin her future and these diseases would lead to blindness or even DEATH and etc.

Q2)What are some of your reactions after reading this article? If one day, a close friend of yours confess to you that he/she has been engaging in sex, what would your advice to him/her be?

I felt that this article was nothing new to me actually as there are already some of my friend were not a virgin at my age anymore. So I did not felt surprising after reading this.

Honestly, I do not think that I would really give much advises to them as I felt that what is done had already done, so there is no point giving them advise anymore, cause i do not think that it is going change anything, like the fact? And life is theirs, they should know how or be able to judge what is right and what is wrong to do. And even though if they know that is a wrong thing to do, but they still do it, then they should be prepared to face the consequences in one day and they should be able to take it. And I felt that giving advises would not helped much actually as I do not think that it would be going to change anything. But as a friend, I would still give some very simple advises to them such as like being be careful when they do it? Or things like do not get caught by the police? If not she/he is going to get into DEEP DEEP trouble with the law. But so far I had not met this kind of situation before and I hope that I would not meet this kind of situation ever in my life cause I am not a good talker. I assure you.

TUITION CRAZY

Q1)State any two reasons mentioned by students why extra tuition was necessary.

One of the reasons mentioned by the student was because not being able to cope in school as she felt that the teachers was going too fast during lessons, and she was unable to understand what the teachers are teaching. The only way to catch up is through tuition. The other reasons that was said by the students was because she felt that it was hard to get her teachers in school to answer all her question that she had as they were usually busy therefore she needs a tutor as she could get all the time to ask and could ask again and again if she do not understand.

Q2)Do you think it is necessary for you to have tuition? Why?

Yes, to some certain extent, especially A math and E math. Because I felt that my math teacher was teaching way too fast in class as she always uses a faster method to teach. But maybe it was alright to some of my friends because they had already learned the topic as they had their own tutor at homes or at center. Therefore they could catch up with our teachers’ teaching speed. But I neither had a tutor at home nor intend to get myself one because I am just not that hardworking.
